Understanding the Story Behind the Cards
I've been toying with Tarot since I was a young man. (In a time long ago and a galaxy far away, I was a young man.) My practice deepened significantly during the pandemic, when I immersed myself in the study of Tarot through courses, mentorship, and depth work with different practitioners.
What I discovered is how Tarot allows us to think symbolically to explore mythos (mythical mind) rather than relying solely on logos (logical mind). For me, those symbols open a door to something richer, more meaningful and more powerful.
Why Tarot?
Tarot has a unique way of helping us see our lives from a different perspective.
I've come to appreciate Tarot not simply as a way to look at what might happen next, but as a symbolic language that can help us explore experiences, patterns, questions, and possibilities.
Symbols can help us access something deeper than logic alone. They give us another way to understand ourselves, the experiences that have shaped our lives, and how can use this moment as a catalyst to live our most authentic life.
A Different Way of Looking at Your Story
For 25 years, I've studied the Hero's Journey through trainings, workshops, and my own exploration of Joseph Campbell's work.
It was through my study of Tarot that I began to recognize a powerful connection between Tarot and the Hero's Journey. In a dream that connection led to the creation of Tarot Journeys and what I call the Heroic Journey Reading.
This approach brings together Tarot and the Hero's Journey to help you develop greater awareness of yourself, your soul contract and the Larger Story you are living.
